Job Title:
Executive Director/Chief Executive/Mental Health Therapist
Experience/Education:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling
Must have Arkansas LCSW or LPC license
Hours:
Full time, salaried, exempt position
Salary:
Starting at $55,000-$60,000
Commensurate with experience
Benefits:
10 days’ vacation, up to 3 weeks after 3 years, holidays, sick leave, professional liability insurance, time off for CEUs

Overview of Position:
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of NACF. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the Foundation’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.

The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of NACF. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the Foundation’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.
In program development and administration, the Executive Director will:
Responsibilities as Executive Director:
- Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the Board
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field
Responsibilities as Therapist:
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
- Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
- Counsel clients and patients individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
- Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on review of client information
- Refer clients or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and clients’ progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives
- Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status
- Discuss with individual clients their plans for life after leaving therapy
Communications:
- See that the Board is kept fully informed on the condition of the Foundation and all important factors influencing it
- Publicize the activities of the Foundation, its programs and goals
- Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations
- Represent the programs and point of view of the Foundation to agencies, organizations, and the general public
In relations with the staff, the Executive Director will, in consultation with the Board:
- Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel.
- Ensure that sound human resource practices are in place
- Encourage staff development and education
- Maintain a healthy work environment
In budget and finance, the Executive Director will, in consultation with the Board:
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices
- Work with the staff and the Board in preparing annual budgets and see that the Foundation operates within budget guidelines
- Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the Foundation to carry out its work
